Google keyword research is more crucial than ever before, as Google adwords is now the world's #1 ad network.100 countries are part of the google content network.

However, with such a universal pull, the competition is growing by the day. Google is making a killing.4 billion in 2007 from adwords income. My guess is that more advertisers lost money than they made.

I want to discuss the six major challenged to succeeding in PPC

uncovering the right keywords
Discovering that winning combination
Writing good adverts
Proper PPC Ad Placement & Positioning
High converting landing pages
Testing & Tweaking

Discovering the exact keywords: it is all about those keywords. If you dont have the right words that people are searching for then you won't be getting any hits on your ads. Or even worse, you will get hits and be charged for them, but the hits are from people looking for things other than your product.

Its a bit of a catch-22.

You want the clicks, but you dont want every click. One click from the correct individual is worth millions of clicks from others. You really need to be careful that the keywords you use are the ones suited to searchers looking for your solutions.

However, for you to do this manually takes time and effort. And worse, it may not even pay off in the end. There are decent keyword research tools out there but there is a big learning curve with most of them. The game has changed now with PPC Bully 2. For more on that see the next article. Having spent all that time inresearch, now you will need to test them out. Wait! if you think you are done, you have a while to go. Having the right keywords is one thing, having them in the right order is way harder. it's essentially the same as taking a mathmatics exam where the right answer is 745.

If your answer is not 100% right , you'd be 100% wrong. There are no scores for getting it almost right. It's quite similar to paid per click. People are not just searching for specific words. They are searching for specific words in a specific order & specific combination.

You need to be right on the money if you want to attract the right customers. Research is required in order to discover which combination works best for you.

the truth is, this is just the beginning. That you need to find out what products your competition are promoting in combination with the landing pages and keywords & keyword combination that are making them a profit in order to make serious money. There is a great solution however.
